1. Overview

At BIOMECH STUDIO LTD, we specialize in custom-made digital orthopedic CAD services, including insole design, shoe lasts, and medical device modeling. All services are tailored specifically to each client’s clinical requirements and input data.

Because our work is digital, custom, and made-to-order, our refund policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and balanced for both parties while ensuring protection against misuse and supporting serious professional clients.

2. Order Confirmation & Work Start

Once an order is confirmed and payment is received (fully or partially), the project enters our production pipeline and resource allocation begins immediately.

  • Before work starts: Eligible for cancellation (see Section 3).
  • After work starts: Limited or no refund applies due to the bespoke nature of our services.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 Before Work Begins

If a client requests cancellation before any design, data analysis, or modeling work has started, a refund may be issued:

A full refund of the received amount, minus any non-refundable international payment processing fees or transactional charges incurred by our payment providers.

3.2 After Work Has Started

Once design work, scanning review, data preparation, or CAD development has started:

  • A partial refund may be considered solely at the discretion of BIOMECH STUDIO LTD, based on the volume of work already completed.
  • Administrative, computational, and labor costs incurred up to that point will be deducted.
  • Refund eligibility decreases significantly as the project progresses through the pipeline.

3.3 After Delivery

Once final digital deliverables and CAD files (such as STL, OBJ, STEP, or other requested formats) have been delivered or made available for download, the project shall generally be considered completed and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

4. Custom Digital Product Policy

All outputs from BIOMECH STUDIO LTD are:

  • Fully custom-designed and custom-engineered.
  • Based strictly on unique client-provided scans, measurements, or medical instructions.
  • Non-resellable and non-reusable for any other clients or entities.

Therefore, under standard international digital and custom goods regulations, completed or delivered CAD files are strictly non-refundable and exempt from standard return periods.

5. Revision Policy (Fair Use Guidelines)

To ensure client satisfaction and clinical accuracy, we include structured revisions:

  • Minor adjustments: Included within the originally agreed project or revision scope.
  • Major redesign requests: If a modification requires a complete rebuild due to a change in the original brief, it may be charged as a new design or subject to separate engineering fees.
  • Timeframe: All revision requests must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the initial file delivery.

We aim to ensure the design meets clinical and functional expectations before final implementation.

6. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds or credits will NOT be provided in the following cases:

  • The client changes project requirements, clinical briefs, or design scope after modeling has started.
  • Delays in project completion caused by slow client communication, failure to provide feedback, or missing technical data.
  • Incorrect, incomplete, low-resolution, or corrupted scans/measurements provided by the client.
  • Dissatisfaction with fit or clinical outcomes after a design has been formally approved and final files delivered.
  • Use of our delivered digital files in physical manufacturing, milling, or 3D printing production.

7. Non-Delivery / Service Failure

A full refund or mutually agreed partial compensation may be issued only if:

  • BIOMECH STUDIO LTD fails to deliver the digital project files within the contractually agreed timeframe.
  • And no meaningful project progress, communication, or deliverables have been provided by us for more than 30 consecutive calendar days without a valid technical, operational, or force majeure reason.

Each instance will be reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis.

8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage clients to contact our support team directly to resolve any project concerns before initiating a formal chargeback or payment dispute through their financial institution or payment method provider.

Important Notice:

  • Unauthorized or fraudulent chargebacks may result in the immediate suspension of all active services, withholding of current deliverables, and termination of the client's account.
  • In the event of a dispute, BIOMECH STUDIO LTD will submit comprehensive documentation of work progress, communication logs, technical data logs, and undisputed proof of digital delivery to the relevant financial institutions or payment processors to protect our intellectual property.

9. Client Responsibility

Clients bear full responsibility for:

  • Providing accurate, clear, and legally compliant medical/scanning data.
  • Reviewing digital drafts, 3D visualizations, and project communications in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring all structural and project requirements are verified at the start.

Project delays or final fitment errors caused by inaccurate or incomplete data inputs from the client are entirely non-refundable.

10. Fair Use Principle

We aim to maintain a fair balance between protecting our time, technical expertise, and bespoke digital labor, and ensuring our professional clients receive high-quality, clinically viable CAD outputs. All refund and cancellation requests are handled objectively with fairness, equity, and absolute transparency.

10A. Force Majeure

BIOMECH STUDIO LTD shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, internet outages, cyber incidents, governmental actions, transportation disruptions, supplier failures, pandemics, or utility interruptions.

Such events shall not automatically entitle the client to a refund.
